I have a chip in my windshield, what do I do now?

Repairs to windshield chips can be completed while you wait. Bring it in as soon as possible and we’ll get the damage repaired and get you back on the road.

My car has a lot of hail damage, and it looks terrible. I’ve seen tents set up with hail repair teams who can do the job quickly. But I have heard this isn’t always a good idea. Why not?

While it’s tempting and you may be encouraged to get the hail damage on your car taken care of quickly, keep in mind that these teams will be working on many cars with the goal of getting them through as fast as possible. That means that the quality of repair may suffer. As you do have a year to make your claim, the best thing to do is take a deep breath and then do your homework with a local shop. At Canadian Dent, we work side by side with all insurance companies. You’ll get superior quality repairs from a team that will always be there for you.

I have hail damage, what do I do first?

First, call your insurance provider. They will advise you of their particular protocol. They will probably want a member of their own appraisal team to have a look at your vehicle. Once you receive a copy of the estimate, do your homework in finding the best local, time-tested shop that suits your needs.

At Canadian Dent, we have long-term relationships with insurance companies, and we guarantee our work. Our aim is to make the repair process as painless as possible for our clients. Once we receive a copy of your estimate, whether it is from you or your appraiser, we will book a repair time and let you know how long we will need your vehicle.

From that point, we will take care of everything, treating your car as if it was our own. If you have rental coverage included in your policy, we will have a rental unit ready to go for you. We’ll take care of your hail damage as quickly as possible without compromising the quality of the work or the paint finish of your vehicle. If the damage requires conventional hail repair as well as Paintless Dent Repair, we will oversee the entire repair on your behalf, saving you time and frustration. Upon completion of the repair, we will call and arrange for you to pick up your vehicle. If your policy includes a deductible payment, you will make your payment and we will hand you the keys.

You repaired my dents. How long will the repair last?

A.

There is no reason a repaired dent should return unless something has hit the panel to cause additional damage. We provide a 100% customer satisfaction guarantee on all our paintless dent repairs.

Is there any specific after-care for my micro repair that I need to know about?

A.

Most micro repairs are cured within 24 hours. Normal cleaning and maintenance would apply after 48 hours.

What is Dent Guard?

A.

Dent Guard is the service agreement offered through Canadian Dent to save you time and money, and protect your vehicle for up to 48 months. When you purchase a Dent Guard plan, your repairable dents are fully covered for the length of your plan.

Hail damage is not covered by Dent Guard, but you receive a $200 credit in the event your vehicle receives hail damage to its exterior surfaces during the life of the plan deeply reducing the overall cost of the agreement.

Dent Guard offers:

  • 36 and 48 months of unlimited PDR service for all vertical panel dents deemed removable by the PDR system
  • $200 hail coupon in the event your vehicle incurs hail damage
  • 10% discount at participating body shops
  • 10% discount at participating custom detail shops
  • Fully transferable* coverage to second owner or new vehicle during the life of the agreement

*DENT GUARD coverage is fully transferable to the second owner upon payment of a $50 transfer fee providing the vehicle is sold or traded only to a private party.

Is it possible to pay by the dent repair rather than purchase a Dent Guard agreement?

Yes, normal pricing would be in place in that instance.

Q?

Will you need to remove any part of my car to repair it?

A.

There are instances where we may need to remove some parts such as headlights or taillights in order to gain proper access for repair however, we do everything possible to leave your vehicle completely intact.
